I haven’t attempted group play yet, but I may do so in the future, but I’m not sure if I’m playing a significant role if I hurt my teammates using spells (which I’m guessing will be the case since enemies could hit one another). You can’t fit 3 people against four zombies in a tiny room that isn’t vertical and expect be able to create front mid, or back lines Dark And Darker Gold. Left clicking is a way to jack the entire staff stopping to cast an attack (which is appropriate since you’re a wizard) will cause the enemy to take over and you exchange blows, also, some spells strike you too. My first encounter is at 20% hp.
And if I’m trying snipe a bug the bug will not be able to do it. It moves too fast, the ice bolts are extremely precise, and melee combat is terrible especially when it’s sitting on the ground and I’m forced to smash the bug with a staff which has a hitbox that is dagger-sized.
I’m not arguing that the game is over because it’s a public-access game and blah, but given the current state it requires some weighty balancing. I’d like to see more damage, or at least make me less soft.
Perhaps you haven’t even seen series about dungeons (there are plenty of these series) where the party is very important and every person in the party is important.
If you’re playing as a mage, this doesn’t mean you’re required to hurt everyone at the same time. The magician can be very successful when the enemies are standing in the corridor far from where you are and you decide to cast an explosive fireball at them cheap Dark And Darker Gold. You can heal your team (it isn’t damaging to them) or you can bring light to dark places with light magic so that they don’t carry the torch.
